Had to wake up at 0530 in the morning cuz its Jkys sisters wedding. This basically means i managed only a two and half hr sleep as i was rushing my ethics assignment till 3 the night before. A lack of sleep makes my cheeks look very puffy the next day, do you girls experience the same thing as well?
So here i am, looking and feeling fat, wondering if i can fit comfortably into my dress for the dinner tonight..
About this dress. It's a black tube dress i bought from zara for $119 slightly more than a month ago. During that time, zara's sale was already on going but this dress wasnt entitled to discount because it was part of the new collection - or so i was told. one month later, i visted zara again and holy cow! the same dress was going for $49.90, that's like a more than 50% cut in price. it makes me so effing miffed. obviously someone needs to teach zara some business ethics. such a sales strategy can never be justified under kantian's theory of categorical imperative nor under virtue ethics. A $70 premium for a dress to be completely amortized within 1 month simply cannot be justified.
The only consolation i have is that there were only M and L sizes left on the shelf, and these are unwearable sizes. They are unwearable not because i'm skinny but because unlike our american or european counterparts, singaporean girls are generally not so well-endowed. (You may wanna tune it to Ch5 at 10pm on Monday to verify this for yourselves :-) Simply put, we do not have the required amount of fats on the chest area to adequately prop up a tube dress so that it does not become one of those wardrobe malfunctions boo boo.
Its tragic i know, but it's also the reason why people like Dr. Woffles Wu can afford to earn a more-than-decent living by cutting people up.
Gtg now, shall update again with pics to follow =)
