My Country Garden
In less than two months since i started work, our dept has lost two of our noisiest folks around. The farewell was strangely sad.. Maybe because we all thought he went for his cigarette break again when in fact he went out to buy us flowers on his last day..But there's nothing quite as sad as britney these days. on the surface, she seems to be getting better. yet, it's just sad thinking how she even got herself into all this mess in the first place. we dont even know for sure what's this mess we're talking abt.. and we dont know either if she'll ever get sorted out. dont really wanna end up watching on bloomberg / cnn about her passing away, like how they reported abt lydia sum's death. it's sad when talented ppl die young. too sad.
i still havent gotten sick of her latest album. it still rocks.

My Country Garden
thanks to the alcohol, i woke up at 12 noon.. and half the day was gone just like that..
but it was fun night.. northern rock sank big time and had to be bailed out by the central bank. ubs was uber profitable at one stage but subsequently slumped into the reds. there can be no better banker.. haha..
sistah and i prepared tang yuan for supper too.. we sooo should do a potluck one of these days! sistah, you can cook for your curry chicken, i wanna try! we shld organize one of these card sessions again, prolly when everyone comes back! :)

Happy Valentine's Day y'all!
Hope you've enjoyed the day..
We had dinner at Hotstones, which is a place i'd recommend just for the fun of grilling your meats on a slab of -what else- hotstones duh. It was great experience and i'm feeling uber full now.

Rumor has it that britney will be leaving US in the next couple of weeks for some training in privacy, after which she will going on a global tour!
hmm.. sure or not?! this sounds a tad too ambitious for her current condition..
ok, heck that for tonight, i'm gg to bed early!
p/s: sistah, is saturday on?! pls stop ur nuaing and get down to planning.. haha. we could do a meal or chill at someone's place, or both. i've got a lot of alcohol and will need help finishing it up. unfortunately it aint beer though!

maybe derivatives are not that scary after all.
they are complex, no doubt abt it, but it's brilliant. it's so amazing, and mildly addictive as well.. finally i get a practical sense of how black scholes work, albeit largely on an intuitive level. but hey, that's gd enough for me.
even if nothing happens, all of this has been an interesting read.
and just to share a quick money-making tip in view of the festive season, which is perhaps best employed on the non-locals. our bank gave us red packets for the CNY. a collegue fr lugano happily opened his before the 15 day CNY period ended, so i told him that was bad luck. and now he wants to give the ang bao away. =)
