My Country Garden

how do i even begin. the past one month has been so eventful, it leaves so little time for other things. but most impt of all, my best fren came back for a short visit with her fiancee. needless to say, i was most delighted to finally be able to meet the 'knight in shining armour' in person!

it was almost like they were on a whirlwind tour of this tiny island. and we were so honored to even be allocated the luxury of spending an entire friday afternoon with them. so i had to take a half-day off for that, but some friends are totally worth the little 'sacrifice' of our precious leave entitlement.

the knight turned out to be a really nice person indeed. and i wish the couple all the best in the long and trying journey which lies ahead of them.

alas, time passed only too soon, but at least the meet up ended on a positive note. there are plans to travel together some time next year, and for my part, i sincerely hope that such a trip will materialize.

My Country Garden

just what the hell are we hanging on for?

week after week we eagerly anticipate (well, maybe not so anymore) the latest issue of the translated naruto manga only to find the plot descending further into a horrible mess of ridiculousness.. i mean.. c'mon, itachi as the tragic hero?! how desperate can masashi kishimoto get? how much further can this -for the lack of a better word- 'retardedness' stretch? Jiraiya's last message (currently still an undeciphered code) had better be a darn good one to make up for the stupidity of the entire plot!
