i couldnt quite believe that the US screwed themselves over twice in a short span of 10mins. hailed as one of the favorites to win the 4x100m relay events, both the men and women team separately dropped their batons in the last changeover to be disqualified. Such shocking performance repeated twice in a row. uh, like didnt the ladies watch what happened to their male counterparts in the preceding race? the mole says that the US obviously has to work on their baton passing skills.

now the jamaicans can comfortably cruise their way to yet another two gold medals. gd on them!

the US however managed to salvage their disappointing performance by making a clean sweep in the 400m men's race to clinch all top 3 positions with a pretty dramatic finish. nevertheless, their performance in the track and field events this olympics has been sloppy to say the least. they will never catch up to china this way.
